A Rainbow in the Grass
A year ago today, my husband (then my fiancé) underwent a 5.5 hour tumor resection surgery at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. It was a large, rare, benign tumor located in the back of his nose/in his sinuses. Due to the size and location of the tumor, it was a meticulous, complicated surgery that caused a lot of stress and fear.
After the surgery was complete and the scans came back clear, I wrote a social media blog post detailing how God was faithful throughout the entire process — from the moment we found out about it in May all the way through the surgery in September. This week’s blog post is a throwback to one of my favorite, most personal pieces I’ve ever written.
